Terms and Conditions, Cancellation Policy, and Client Consent

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of consultancy services by MomaBee relating to lactation support, children's sleep, potty training, and child developmental milestones.

By booking and attending our sessions, you agree to these Terms and Conditions, including our Cancellation Policy and Consent to Services.


2. Nature of Services

  • Services are delivered online via secure video call or in person depending on client preference at the time of booking.
  • Services are educational and consultative in nature and do not replace medical diagnosis or treatment.
  • Occupational therapy advice is provided in accordance with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Standards of Conduct, Performance, and Ethics, and the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT) Professional Standards.
  • If concerns arise that are beyond the scope of consultancy, clients will be advised to seek support from an appropriate healthcare professional.

3. Booking and Payment

  • Consultations must be booked in advance via the website.
  • Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed.
  • Prices are displayed clearly on the website and may be subject to change with notice.
  • Payments are handled securely using the CityPay 3D Secure Payment Portal. Card details are processed by City Pay and not handled by MomaBee directly.

4. Cancellation Policy

Booking Changes and Cancellations:

  • Refunds are not automatically offered for cancellations.
  • If you are unable to attend your booked session, you may contact MomaBee or your consultant directly to explain the circumstances.
  • Refunds or rescheduling may be considered on a case-by-case basis, at our discretion, depending on the reason for cancellation.
  • Requests for consideration must be submitted via email to [email protected] as soon as possible.

Late Attendance:
If you arrive more than 10 minutes late for your session, the session may be shortened or cancelled without a refund to maintain scheduling for other clients.

Service Cancellation by Us:
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule sessions due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, a full refund or an alternative appointment will be offered.


5. Confidentiality and Data Protection

  • All personal data collected is processed in compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018.
  • By accepting these Terms and Conditions, you agree that your data will be stored electronically within a secure electronic patient record system.
  • Records of consultations will be securely stored for a minimum of 8 years or until the child’s 26th birthday (whichever is later), following HCPC and RCOT professional standards.
  • Your records are confidential and are accessible only by authorised personnel of MomaBee.

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information at any time.

6. Client Responsibilities

  • Clients must provide accurate and complete information regarding their child’s health, development, and any relevant circumstances.
  • Clients agree to contact MomaBee with progress reports, questions, or concerns.
  • Clients understand it is their responsibility to follow through on agreed care plans and seek medical advice if required.

7. Liability

  • Advice is given in good faith based on the information you provide.
  • MomaBee accepts no liability for any loss, injury, or damage resulting from advice that is not followed fully or correctly.
  • Services are not a substitute for personalised medical or specialist healthcare.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions. Clients will be notified of significant changes.


9. Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales and the laws of Jersey, Channel Islands.


Client Consent for Services

I consent to receive consultancy services from MomaBee, including advice related to:

  • Infant feeding and lactation
  • Sleep routines and strategies
  • Potty training
  • Child developmental milestones

Services will be delivered either in-person or via secure video call, depending on my preference at the time of booking.

I understand:

  • Services are consultative and educational in nature.
  • They do not replace medical care, therapeutic intervention, or diagnosis.
  • My personal and my child's personal data will be handled securely and stored electronically in a secure electronic patient record system.
  • I have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of my data at any time.

I further consent to:

  • The use of secure video calls for remote consultations.
  • Contacting the consultant with updates, questions, or concerns following consultations.
  • The consultant contacting my GP or my child’s GP if she feels it is necessary, with my prior consent.
  • The consultant sharing relevant information with other healthcare providers involved in our care, with my prior consent.

I give permission for the consultant to use anonymised clinical information from our consultations for the education of other healthcare providers and mothers about lactation, sleep, potty training, and child development. I understand that no identifying information will be shared.


Home Visit and Consultation Consent

If I have booked an in-person home visit consultation:

I give my consent for the consultant to work with me and my baby and/or child during this consultation to address my breastfeeding, sleep, potty training, and developmental milestone concerns. This consent covers visits, phone conversations, video calls, and follow-up information sent by e-mail or text message.

I understand that a consultation may involve:

  • Touching my breasts and/or nipples for the purpose of assessment.
  • Inserting gloved fingers into my baby’s mouth to assess suck.
  • Observing breastfeeding and providing suggestions to enhance latch and positioning.
  • Demonstrating equipment, supplies, and relevant techniques.

I understand it is my responsibility to maintain communication with the consultant after the consultation.

I give my consent for the consultant to release relevant information obtained during our sessions to my healthcare providers as needed, with prior agreement.

I give my consent for the consultant to use anonymised clinical information obtained during sessions for educational purposes without identifying me or my child.
